Grab a friend and make a living moss ball to take home. Seats are limited.
Join us at Kent Countryside for our Kokedama Class, a relaxed, hands-on workshop in the Japanese art of the moss ball. Koke means moss and dama means ball. The craft grew out of bonsai tradition: the plant's roots are packed into a sculpted soil ball, wrapped in natural moss, and tied with twine, so the moss itself becomes the pot.
Our team will walk you through shaping the soil ball, wrapping it in moss, and binding it so it holds together and keeps growing. No experience needed. Choose a small or large kokedama and leave with a living piece for a shelf, a windowsill, or a hanging display.
When: Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM
Where: Kent Countryside
Price: $45 small / $60 large
Seating is limited, so reserve your spot early. Bring a friend or book as a group and make a morning of it.
Care tip: Keep your kokedama in bright, indirect light. When the ball feels light, soak it in room-temperature water for 10 to 15 minutes, gently squeeze out the excess, and let it drip-dry.
