The Best Time to Plant: In our region, early autumn (late August through September) is the absolute gold standard for seeding, followed by early spring. The cooler air and warm soil provide the perfect incubation chamber for new seeds.
Keep it Damp in the Sun: Full-sun areas dry out incredibly fast. When establishing new seed, give the area a light misting 1 to 2 times a day. The goal is to keep the top inch of soil consistently damp—never soaked, and never bone-dry—until the new grass reaches about two inches tall.
