Commercial Landscaping
A commercial property is judged the moment someone pulls into the parking lot. Whether you manage an HOA, oversee a corporate campus, or run a hospitality business, the landscape is part of how people experience the property — and how they remember it.Kent Countryside's Landscape Division designs, builds, and maintains professional landscapes throughout the Hudson Valley. Our commercial portfolio spans hospitals and medical campuses, apartment and condominium communities, senior living facilities, golf courses, estates, and municipal properties across Putnam, Westchester, and Dutchess Counties.
Commercial Services
- Commercial Landscape Design — Design renderings so boards, stakeholders, and tenants can approve the vision before installation begins.
- Installation — Full-scope planting and site work, including trees, shrubs, foundation plantings, hydroseeding, wetland plantings, and irrigation. (See detail below.)
- Hardscape & Masonry — Walkways, retaining walls, signage beds, entry features, patios, and stone borders.
- Year-Round Maintenance — Spring and fall cleanups, mowing, pruning, mulch refresh, weed control, fertilization, and irrigation service — all under a single contract.
- Seasonal Programs — Spring color rotations, summer turf care, fall plantings, and holiday seasonal displays.
Commercial Installation Services
When a commercial property is being built, rebuilt, or refreshed, installation is where the design becomes real. Our crews handle every layer of the work in-house, so the schedule, the standards, and the accountability stay with one team.- Trees — Caliper specimen trees, screening rows, shade canopy, and ornamentals. Each tree is installed with proper staking, root collar care, and a post-install watering plan built into the contract.
- Shrubs — Hedging, mass plantings, ornamental specimens, and architectural shrub work, sized to the scale of the property.
- Foundation Plantings — The plantings that frame the front of your building — softening hard architecture, balancing entryways, and giving a property the cared-for look that signals quality to tenants and visitors before they step inside.
- Hydroseeding — Fast, uniform grass establishment for large commercial sites, new construction lots, slopes, and erosion-prone areas. Cleaner coverage than traditional seeding, at a lower cost than sod across big footprints.
- Wetland Plantings — Native, regulation-compliant plantings for stormwater basins, detention ponds, riparian buffers, and wetland mitigation areas. Right-plant-right-place selection for properties with environmental compliance requirements.
- Irrigation — Full irrigation system design and installation — drip lines for plant beds, zoned spray for turf, and smart controllers that adjust to weather. Properly installed irrigation pays for itself in plant survival and reduced summer labor.

How We Work With Commercial Clients
- Walkthrough. We can visit your property, meet your team, and identify the priorities, problem areas, and opportunities.
- Proposal. You get a clear scope, plant lists, and bid document — ready to share with stakeholders or board members.
- Installation. Our crews execute on schedule and with minimal disruption to operations.
- Ongoing Maintenance. One point of contact, predictable visits, and proactive communication when seasonal issues come up.
Safety on Site
Commercial properties have people on them — tenants, customers, staff, residents — and a landscape crew is a moving operation with sharp tools, heavy equipment, and material moving through tight spaces. We take that seriously.
Our crews:
- Wear high-visibility apparel and hardhats on jobsites where head and visibility hazards are present.
- Follow OSHA-aligned protocols for hardscape, tree work, and equipment operation.
- Set up cones, signage, and traffic control around work zones in parking lots and access drives.
- Conduct pre-job safety briefings on every site, every day, before work begins.
- Maintain equipment on a regular service schedule to prevent breakdowns and safety incidents.
- Communicate with the property contact before arrival, during the visit, and after cleanup is complete.
