Mulch and Decorative Stone by Kent Countryside Nursery

The cost of bulk, the ease of bagged, at Kent Countryside Nursery we stock premium bulk and bagged hardwood mulches.

Premium hardwood mulch colors we carry include:

• Natural Brown (no dye added)
• Dyed Black
• Dyed Red
• Dyed Brown

Mulch is a great way to dress up your planting beds, leaving a fresh, clean look. Mulch not only looks great, but also helps maintain soil moisture during dry months and regulates soil temperature, keeping root systems cooler in summer months and warmer in cold winter months.

We recommend touching up planting beds with mulch annually as it breaks down into organic matter over time. For first time applications 2-3” of mulch should be applied to planting beds and for touching-up existing beds, usually only about 1 additional inch is needed. Remember to keep mulch away from the trunks of trees and shrubs so there is never excess moisture close to the trunk.
